The TAHPERD Summer Conference is an energizing professional learning experience designed for K–12 physical education and health teachers who want to refresh, refine, and reimagine their programs before the new school year. This conference features hands-on, standards-based sessions led by master teachers and content experts, offering practical strategies, innovative activities, and ready-to-use resources for both the gym and the classroom. Attendees will connect with colleagues from across Texas, gain inspiration and confidence, and return to their campuses equipped to engage students and promote lifelong health and physical literacy.

TAHPERD asks all attendees to make their reservations at this designated Conference Hotel if rooms are available. Our use of the meeting space, conference facilities, and services is dependent upon rooms utilized by our attendees. When our room block commitments are not fulfilled, TAHPERD is contractually obligated to pay financial penalties to our hotels.

Room Block Cut-Off Date: A block of rooms has been reserved over the conference dates. The conference rate will be available until the cut-off date of June 19, 2026, or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Reservations made after June 19, 2026, or the group block is sold out will be accepted on a space and rate available basis. The hotel is NOT contractually obligated to provide the group rate after the cut-off date.
Group Rate: $147.00 (1-2 people) Hotel Occupancy Tax: currently 15%
*Rates are based on single/double occupancy – each additional occupant is $10/day

Hotel State Tax Exemption: Individuals who are tax-exempt must inquire with the hotel regarding procedures for managing tax-exempt guests. In addition, please inquire about any additional fees or taxes that might be applied to your bill.
Check-in: 3:00 p.m. Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be made 72 hours (3 days) prior to date of arrival to avoid a charge of one night’s room and tax.
Hotel Parking: Self-Parking is complimentary.
Paying by School Check: If paying with a school check, the Embassy Suites requires all checks MUST be RECEIVED 10 business days prior to the check in date.
Hotel Rooms: All rooms have two-room suites with either one or two beds in the bedroom and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Hotel guests receive a complimentary breakfast cooked-to-order and a nightly Manager’s Reception.
Airport Transportation: The hotel is located approximately 30 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and approximately 38 miles from Dallas Love Field. The hotel does not provide shuttle transportation to and from these airports. Please contact Super Shuttle at www.supershuttle.com for ground transportation.
